Vlasta Jalušič

Vlasta Jalušič je osnivačica, nekadašnja direktorica i istraživačica na Mirovnom institutu (Institut za suvremene društvene i političke studije) u Ljubljani (Slovenija, EU). Isto tako je izvanredna profesorica političke teorije na sveučilištu u Ljubljani, a predaje i na Falkultetu za management u Kopru i na postiplomskom programu Institutum Studiorum Humanitatis u Ljubljani.

Objavljivala je brojne znanstvene članke i poglavlja u knjigama o spolu i politici, o Srednje-istočni Europi te tranziciji, ratu, nasilju i, posebice, o Hannah Arendt. Njene novije knjige uključuju Kako smo pohađale Feminističku gimnaziju... (2002) te Zlo ne-mišljenja: Arendtovske vježbe u razumijevanju post-totalitarnog doba i kolektivnih zločina (2009). Bila je suautorica knjiga Žene-politika -mogućnosti (2001), Izbrisani: organizirana nevinost i političko isključivanje (2003) te suizdajateljica voluminozne studije Ljudska prava žena (2004) Vlasta Jalušič je bila gostujuća profesorica na Centralno evropskom univerzitetu u Budimpešti, Austrijskom sveučilišnom centru za mirovne studije i drugdje.

Vodila je brojne istraživačkih i razvojnih projekata. Neki od trenutno aktualnih projekata su „QUING - Kvalitet rodnih politika i politika jednakosti" koji se izvodi u 29 Europskih država, „Nasilne intersekcije: dinamika društvenih i političkih elemenata suvremenog kolektivnog nasilja, masovnih zločina i njihove posljedice (primjeri Jugoslavije i Ruande)", a isto tako i razvojni projekt „Omogućavanje Ženskog centra u Nyamirambu, Kigali (Ruanda).

Tonči Kuzmanić je jedan od osnivača Mirovnog instituta u Ljubljani. Izvanredni profesor je za područja politike, sociologije i etike u managementu Univerziteta na Primorskem, Kopar (Slovenija, EU). Zadnjih godina se intenzivno bavi istraživačkim radom na području kritike managementa, globalizacije, etike te odnosima između managementa i politike u uvjetima post-socializma i globalizacije. Dugi niz godina je djelovao u mirovnom gibanju i kao istraživač ratova, nasilja, neprijateljskog govora, rasizma i politike.

Zadnja njegove knjiga s tog područja su „Neprijateljski govor u Sloveniji" (2002) te „Mediji, Politika" (MI, 2005). Njegove najnovije knjige, poglavlja u knjigama te članci se odnose na „Managerski diskurz" (Koper, FM, 2007), na „Kritiku P.F: Druckera i managerske paradigme" (MI, 2008) te na „Management i politiku" (u Biloslavo, FM, KP, 2008). Trenutno je u procesu objave kolektivna studija njegovog istraživačkog tima pod naslovom „Kritika managerske revolucije" (Časopis za kritiku znanosti, 2010).

Predavač je i na postdiplomskom studiju Institutum Studiorum Humanitatis u Ljubljani, utemeljitelj Radničko-punkerskog univerziteta (Ljubljana) te To Lykeion (Koper), na kojem je i predavač (ovogodišnja predavanja: „Karl Marx i razumijevanje našeg vremena"). Vodi nekoliko projekata, istraživačkih timova i kružoka, posebice „Razumijevanje Martina Heidggera", „Čitanje Aristotela" te „Analitika Amerike i managerske revolucije". Trenutno dovršava knjigu „Kapitalizam, post-kapitalizam i managerska revolucija".

Svjetlana Nedimović odbranila je doktorat na temu imaginacije i političke akcije u djelu H. Arendt na Evropskom univerzitetskom institutu u Firenci 2007. godine.

Nekoliko godina je predavala političku teoriju i filozofiju na Sarajevskoj školi za nauku i tehnologiju gdje je rukovodila i osnivanjem Odsjeka za političke nauke i međunarodne odnose te izradom nastavno plana i programa.

Tokom zadnjih 6 godina bila je angažovana u raznim ulogama na projektu Puls demokratije - Internet-časopisu za kritičku analizu bh. društveno-političke stvarnosti. Od 2010. godine u svojstvu glavne i odgovorne urednice vodi autorske radionice Pulsa demokratije za studente s bh. univerziteta. Na radionicama se u heterogenim grupama i nekonformističkoj atmosferi, a u duhu 'zajednice neistomišljenika', radi na studentskim tekstovima koji sada predstavljaju okosnicu časopisa. 

U sklopu istraživačkog projekta Univerziteta u Barseloni Trajectories of Modernity, bavi se istraživanjem uloge političke imaginacije i pripovijedanja u transformaciji sukoba unutar društava.

Objavljivala je u raznim bh. online-časopisima, zbornicima radova i domaćim i međunarodnim naučnim časopisima.

Biography:

Jayne Seminare Docherty is a professor of conflict studies at the Center for Justice and Peacebuilding at Eastern Mennonite University. She has also taught at George Mason University and Columbia College (South Carolina). Professor Docherty earned her Ph.D. at the Institute for Conflict Analysis and Resolution at George Mason University and she holds an undergraduate degree in religious studies and political science from Brown University. She also studied theology at the University of St. Andrews in Scotland.

Professor Docherty consults with organizations and communities in transition, working with them to harness the positive energy of conflict and minimize its negative effects. Her current area of focus for research, writing and practice is improving the use of negotiation in unstable situations so that the results yield durable but flexible systems for creating long-term and sustainable peace with justice. She has also conducted research – especially action research projects – for nonprofit organizations; consulted on designing, monitoring and evaluating projects and programs; worked with universities on curriculum development; and conducted trainings on conflict analysis, negotiation, and program design.

For the next three years, her practice focus will be on Lebanon and Burma/Myanmar. In Lebanon, she is working in collaboration with The Institute for Peace and Justice Education at Lebanese American University on a multi-year effort to develop and institutionalize a summer peacebuilding training program for young leaders interested in building peace in Lebanon. In Burma/Myanmar, she is working as a consultant and trainer with groups that are supporting the transition from military to civilian rule with the goal of promoting sustainable peace with justice for the country.

Professor Docherty is a member of the Board of Directors for the Peace Appeal Foundation an organization that “supports peace and conflict resolution processes globally through inclusive, multi-track and multi-sector interventions designed to achieve agreed, fair and just outcomes.” She is also a member of the Association for Conflict Resolution where she served as Chair of the Research Section (2004-2007), the International Peace Research Associaton where she has served on the Council (2006-2008), and the International Studies Association (ISA).

Professor Docherty is a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Community in Harrisonburg, Virginia. Her work is deeply influenced by Catholic teachings on peace and social justice.

The daughter of a career military officer, Professor Docherty now serves as a consultant with the 3D Security Initiative. She has a strong interest in forging a peace movement that takes the issue of security seriously and that includes the voices of active and retired military personnel. She was involved in the early efforts to adapt the Seminars for Trauma Awareness and Resilience program for use with communities that are welcoming soldiers returning from Iraq and Afghanistan, a project that helped lay the foundation for the Transforming the Wounds of War program.

Professor Docherty is the author of two books:

  • Learning Lessons from Waco: When the Parties Bring Their Gods to the Negotiation Table (Syracuse University Press),
  • The Little Book of Strategic Negotiation: Negotiating During Turbulent Times (Good Books),
  • and a significant contributor (four chapters) to The Negotiator’s Fieldbook: The Desk Reference for the Experienced Negotiator (American Bar Association).

She is also the author of numerous articles in journals such as Terrorism and Political Violence, Nova Religio, and the Marquette Law Review. Her work on culture and negotiation has been incorporated into three different textbooks used in law schools around the country.
